Creamy Potato Soup Recipe

Creamy Potato Soup is yummy soup. You can also add more vegetables. You must try this soup at home.


  • Potatoes peeled & diced 6 cups
  • Onion chopped 1-1/2 cups
  • Carrots peeled & diced 1-1/4 cups
  • Chicken stock 2 cups
  • Butter 1/3 cup
  • All-purpose flour 1/3 cup
  • Milk 2-1/2 cups
  • Sour cream 1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Croutons for topping


  1. Put diced potatoes, chopped onion, dice carrots and chicken stock in large pot.
  2. Then sprinkle salt and black pepper.
  3. Then cover pot and bring to boil on medium-high flame.
  4. Once it boils, reduce flame to medium and cook it for about 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
  5. Meanwhile, melt butter on medium flame in saucepan.
  6. Then add all-purpose flour and cook for 1 minute and whisk it continuously.
  7. While whisking, add milk slowly and cook it stirring constantly until mixture is thick.
  8. Then sprinkle salt and black pepper.
  9. When potatoes are soft, add milk mixture in potato mixture and stir it.
  10. Now add sour cream and mix it nicely.
  11. Then take out in soup bowls, top with croutons and serve immediately.

Creamy Potato Soup is healthy soup. Potatoes, carrots & onions are boiled with chicken stock and cooked. Then stirred with butter, milk & flour mixture and mixed with sour cream. Then topped with croutons and serve hot.
