Chocolate Peach Flan And Chocolate Ladoos by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients for Chocolate Peach Flan:

  • 200 gram chocolate biscuits, crushed
  • 125 gram butter
  • 1/2 cup ground, almonds

For Filling:

  • 250 gram cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 300 ml cream

For Topping:

  • 425 gram can of peach halves
  • 100 gram dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup almonds, blanched, flaked and toasted

Method:

  1. Combine biscuits, butter and almonds and mixed together.
  2. Press into the base and up the sides of a greased flat tin.
  3. Bake at 180 degrees C for 10 minutes. Cool.
  4. For filling: Beat cream cheese, icing sugar, lemon juice and vanilla essence.
  5. Fold in the cream.
  6. Spread filling, chill for few hours till set.
  7. slice and drain peaches and dry well.
  8. Dip one and all the peaches in chocolate placed on greased proof paper to set.
  9. before serving, decorate filling with peaches in a circle and put flaked almonds in the middle.

Ingredients for Chocolate Ladoos:

  • 8 oz chocolate, melted
  • 2-3 tbsp condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, crushed
  • 2-1/2 dessicated coconut
  • 1/2 cup almonds, ground

Method:

  1. Mix 2 cups of coconut, almonds and walnuts.
  2. Mix in the chocolate.
  3. Add 2 tbsp condensed milk.
  4. Add 1 more tbsp if needed.
  5. Shape mixture into ladoos and roll them in dessicated coconut.
  6. Chill and serve.
