Curry Koftay by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Mince beef 400 gm
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Onion 1
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Brown onion 2 tbsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Poppy seeds grinded 1 tbsp
  • Roasted gram grinded 1 tbsp
  • Coriander 1 tsp

For Curry:

  • Yogurt 1/2 kg
  • Gram flour 8 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Whole red chilies 6-8
  • Curry leaves 25
  • Salt 1 tsp

For Pakoray:

  • Gram flour 1 cup
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
  • Onion 1 cup
  • Soda by carb 1/4 tsp

Method:

  1. For koftay: Put mince with salt, chili powder, ginger garlic paste, brown onion, all spice, poppy seeds and roasted gram in chopped and chop it nicely.
  2. Now make kofta and keep it aside.
  3. Now put chopped onion, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp coriander and 1 tsp chili powder in blender and blend it.
  4. Then heat oil and fry blended mixture nicely until oil comes up.
  5. Now add koftay in mixture and cook for 10 minutes.
  6. For curry: Blend all ingredients except curry leaves for 1 minute.
  7. Now put in one pan, cook it and stir it continuously until thick.
  8. Then mix kofta mixture in curry and cook it.
  9. Now make pakoray and add in curry.
  10. In end, give bhagar of whole red chilies, curry leaves and cumin and serve hot.
