Chicken 65 is an Indian dish. Make this recipe at home. You can serve it as an entrée or snacks.


For Chicken Marinade:

  • Chicken boneless cubes 1 kg (1 inch)
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Egg 1
  • Lemon juice 1
  • Corn starch 2 tbsp
  • Maida 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Oil 2 cups

For Gravy:

  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Flour 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds 1-1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Bay leaves 7-8
  • Whole dry red chilies 7-8
  • Red food color 1 pinch
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp


  1. For chicken marination: Put chicken, ginger paste, garlic paste and lemon juice in bowl and mix it.
  2. Now put maida, corn starch, red chili powder, salt and garam masala powder and mix it nicely.
  3. Then put egg, mix it nicely and marinate it for 2 hours.
  4. Now heat oil in frying pan on low-medium flame.
  5. Now put one chicken piece at a time in oil and fry it until crispy.
  6. For gravy: Now put yogurt, flour, red chili powder and red food color in bowl and mix it nicely.
  7. Now heat oil in pot, put cumin seeds, mustard seeds, bay leaves and whole dry red chilies and fry it until it crackles.
  8. Then put yogurt mixture and cook it.
  9. Now put fried chicken and mix it nicely.
  10. When ready, take out in serving bowl and serve with boiled rice.

Chicken 65 is delicious dish. Chicken is marinated with ginger garlic paste, corn starch, maida, egg & spices and deep fried in oil. Then mixed with yogurt gravy and served.
