Degi Korma by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Ghee 1/2 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp
  • Brown onion 1/2 cup
  • Coriander powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 pinch
  • Green cardamom 4
  • Cloves 8
  • All spice 1/2 tsp
  • Kewra water 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Put ghee and 1/2 cup water in pan.
  2. Also put, yogurt, chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt, chili powder, coriander powder, green cardamom and clove, fry it nicely and cook for 15 minutes until chicken is approx cooked.
  3. Now put brown onion, fry it nicely and for making gravy put 1 cup water.
  4. Then cover it and cook more until gravy is thick and chicken is cooked.
  5. Then add all spice and kewra water, remove from stove and serve with sheermal.
