Prawn Karahi by Maheen Khan (Zaiqa-e-Subh)

  • Tomatoes: 1/2 Kg
  • Sabut Garam Masala: 1 tbsp
  • Shimla Mirch/capsicum: 1-2 Fresh
  • Haldi/turmeric Powder: 1/2 tbsp
  • Fresh Cream: Half Cup
  • Oil: 1 Cup
  • Onion: 3 - 4
  • Lehsan Adrak/Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala powder: 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt: As your Taste


  1. Marinate prawns for few hours, include red chilli powder, salt and ginger garlic paste.
  2. Heat some oil in pan chop all the tomatoes and put it in the pan and stir it well, put chopped onion now mix it well let them cook for some while.
  3. Add all the masalas haldi/tumeric, garam masala(sabut), red chilli powder, black pepper,cook all of them nicely add prawns now cook it till it gets a good colour.
  4. In the end put cream mix it well and garam masala powder.
  5. Garnish it with capsicum.
