Chicken Zarda


  1. 200 grams rice
  2. 2 chicken breasts
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 125 grams whole dried milk
  5. ¼ cup clarified butter
  6. 50 grams almonds, pistachios
  7. 2 tbsp kewra
  8. water as required


  1. Boil 2 chicken breasts, cut into small cubes and keep aside. Boil 200 grams rice, drain away excess water and keep aside too.
  2. In a pan add, ¼ cup clarified butter, 1 cup sugar, 2 tbsp kewra and 50 grams almonds and pistachios and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Also add some water and cook until sugar has completely dissolve.
  4. Then add boiled rice and boiled chicken and stir for a couple of minutes.
  5. Allow simmering in covered pan for 4 to 5 minutes.
  6. Delicious chicken zarda is ready to serve.
