Achari Karahi by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients for Achari Karahi:

  • Chicken 16 pieces or 1
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • Garlic 8 cloves
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
  • Whole red chilies 8
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Lemons 3
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped onion 2
  • Curry leaves few
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Big green chilies 4

Method:

  1. Put oil in one karahi and do chopped onion light pink.
  2. Now take out onion, put chicken pieces, salt and turmeric, roast it nicely and dry water.
  3. When water dries, put tomatoes, chopped onion, garlic, finely chopped ginger, whole red chilies, onion seeds, coriander seeds and curry leaves and cook it.
  4. When water of tomato dries, roast it and put lemon juice.
  5. After 5 minutes, serve achari karahi with hot naan.
