Aloo Tamatar Ki Daal by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Potatoes 4
  • Tomatoes 1/2 kg
  • Curry leaves few
  • Green chilies 4
  • Tamarind paste 1/2 cup
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Red chili 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

For Bhagar:

  • Oil 1 cup
  • Red chilies 4
  • Fenugreek seeds few
  • Curry leaves few
  • White cumin 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Peel potatoes and keep whole. Now put potatoes and tomatoes in pot and boil with some water. When potatoes are tendered, remove it, cool it and grind in blender.
  2. Then again put in pot, put turmeric, red chili, ginger garlic paste, green chilies, tamarind paste and onion seed and take out after 15 minutes.
  3. After that heat oil, do red chilies, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves and white cumin black and add in aloo tamatar ki daal. In end, serve with hot n delicious plain rice.
