Ingredients:

  • Meat or chicken 1/2 kg
  • Finely chopped tomatoes 3
  • Finely chopped onions 3
  • Big green chilies 5
  • Whole red chilies 6
  • Garlic cloves 6
  • Oil 1 bowl
  • Tamarind pulp 1/2 bowl
  • Fennel seeds 1 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Whole coriander 1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • Salt as required

Ingredients for Filling:

  • White cumin 1 tbsp
  • Whole coriander 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Roast mustard seed and white cumin, grind finely, mix some tamarind pulp and salt, mark cut on big green chilies and fill it.
  2. Now heat oil in pot, fry finely chopped onions till pink and take it out.
  3. Then put meat or chicken in pot. Also put salt and turmeric powder and cook it.
  4. When water or meat dries, out pink onion, finely chopped tomatoes, fennel seeds, onion seeds, garlic cloves, finely chopped ginger, whole coriander and whole red chilies, roast it lightly and put tamarind pulp.
  5. Now shallow fry filled green chilies in frying pan, put on salan and simmer it on low flame.
  6. After approx 10 minutes, serve achar gosht with hot plain rice or chapti.
