Delhi Style Aloo Gosht by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Potatoes 250 gm
  • Cumin grinded 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Yogurt whipped 1 cup
  • Brown onion crushed 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper 10
  • Caraway seeds (black cumin) 1/4 tsp
  • All spice 1/2 tsp
  • Black cardamom 1
  • Cloves 4
  • Ginger julienne 1 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan, add cumin, red chili powder, salt, coriander powder, black pepper, caraway seeds, all spice, black cardamom, cloves and 1/2 cup water and fry it.
  2. Now put mutton and big pieces of potatoes and stir it.
  3. When mutton and potatoes tender, add 1 cup water for gravy.
  4. Then put ginger and simmer it.
  5. Before serving, put some all spice and coriander leaves and serve.
