Mirchon Ka Salan Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Green chilies 1/2 kg
  • Coriander seeds 2 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds 2 tbsp
  • White cumin 1 tbsp
  • Coconut 1 small piece
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Onion paste 3
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Onion seeds 1 tsp
  • Tamarind pulp 1 cup

For Bhagar:

  • Button red chilies 6
  • Curry leaves few
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds few
  • Tamarind pulp 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup

Method:

  1. Roast coriander seeds, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, white cumin and coconut on tawa or frying pan and grind it.
  2. Wash green chilies nicely and keep on strainer so that water dries.
  3. Now heat oil in pot and put green chilies.
  4. Then put some salt and fry is slightly.
  5. Then take out fried green chilies, put red chilies, curry leaves, white cumin and fenugreek seeds and fry until black.
  6. Now add onion paste and fry until light pink.
  7. Then put turmeric, ginger garlic paste, roasted spices, fried green chilies, salt, curry leaves, tamarind pulp and onion seeds and simmer it on low flame.
  8. When oil comes up, it is ready.

Mirchon Ka Salan is spicy dish. Green chilies is fried. Then simmered with spices and tamarind pulp. Serve with naan.
