Beef Biryani Recipe

Beef Biryani is very popular rice dish in Pakistan. It is prepared in various methods. Make it with your own method.
Ingredients:
- Beef 1 kg
- Brown onions 6-8
- Yogurt beaten 2 cups
- Potatoes cubes 4
- Green chilies chopped 8-10
- Tomatoes 3 medium
- Ginger paste 2 tbsp
- Garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Crushed red chilies 1 tsp
- Cumin 1 tsp
- Star anise 2
- Green cardamom 5-6
- Big cardamom 2
- Cloves 6-8
- Cinnamon 1 small piece
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp
- Bay leaves 2-3
- Oil 1 cup
- Coriander leaves chopped as required
- Yellow color few drops
For Rice:
- Basmati rice 1 kg
- Cinnamon 1 small piece
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp
- Cumin 1 tsp
- Star anise 1
- Bay leaf 1
- Big cardamom 2
- Cloves 3
- Green cardamom 5
- Salt 3 tsp
Direction:
- For rice: Wash rice nicely and soak in water for 1 hour.
- Then boil rice with all ingredients in water until 3/4 done.
- Then drain its water
- Grind cumin, star anise, green cardamom, big cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, black pepper and bay leaves in grinder.
- Marinate beef with yogurt, crushed red chilies, half brown onion crushed, half grinded masala, salt, 1 tbsp ginger paste, 1 tbsp garlic paste, coriander leaves nicely for 1-2 hours.
- Then heat oil in pan, fry potatoes lightly and take it out.
- Then add marinated beef in oil, cover it and cook for 5 minutes on high flame.
- Then low flame and cook beef until tender for about 30-40 minutes.
- Then add chopped tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are soft.
- Then put beef in pot with oil.
- Then put remaining brown onion, remaining grinded masala and coriander leaves and mix it nicely.
- Then add potatoes, boiled rice, spread yellow color mixed in vinegar and simmer it on tawa on low flame for 15-20 minutes.
- Then mix it, take out in dish and serve with raita.
Beef Biryani is tasty and mouth-watering rice dish. Beef is marinated with yogurt, brown onion, green chilies and spices. Then cooked in oil with tomatoes. Then simmered with fried potatoes, coriander leaves and boiled rice. Serve with raita.
