Hyderabadi Laal Chicken by Shireen Anwer

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Tomato puree 2 tbsp
  • Brown onion crushed 1/2 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Chili powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • White cumin roasted 1 tsp
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Orange color 1 pinch
  • Whole mixed spices 1 tbsp
  • Mint leaves 1/2 cup
  • Curry leaves handful
  • Green chilies 6
  • Black cumin seeds 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with yogurt, tomato puree, brown onion, ginger garlic paste, salt, chili powder, turmeric, white cumin, all spice, orange color and mixed spices for 2 hours.
  2. Now heat 1/2 cup oil, put green chilies, curry leaves and black cumin seeds and fry it lightly.
  3. Then add marinated chicken, cover it and cook for 30 minutes.
