Ingredients for chutni:

  • Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Tamarind pulp - 2 tbsp
  • Crushed Red Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Cumin(roasted and crushed) - 1 tsp
  • Black salt - 1/4 tsp

Ingredients for Burger Patty:

  • Boiled Potatoes - 1/2 kg
  • Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Gram Flour - 1 cup
  • Water - to make a thick paste

Ingredients for Baghaar:

  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry Leaves - 15
  • Finely chopped Onions - 1 cup
  • Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
  • Chopped Green Chilies - 4
  • Burger Buns - 4 to 6
  • Butter - to spread
  • Onion Rings - as required
  • Salad Leaves - as required

Method:

  1. For chutni, mix yogurt, tamarind pulp, crushed red pepper, cumin, black salt and keep it a side.
  2. Heat oil and add Mustard seeds, curry leaves, garlic paste and fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Add boiled potatoes, salt, turmeric, chopped green chilies, chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  4. Make small tikian, dip in gram flour and shallow fry them.
  5. Now heat buns and put butter, salad leaves, onion rings, fried tikian, chutni on them and cover it with the other half of the bun and serve.

Batata Bara Burger is prepared with Potatoes Pattie and stuffed in bun with salad leaves, onion and chutney.
