Ingredients:

  • Semolina 250 grams
  • Green cardamoms 3-4
  • Saffron 1 pinch
  • Orange food color 1/3 tsp
  • Sugar as required
  • Ghee 1 cup
  • Almonds or Pistachios as required
  • Kewra essence few drops
  • Silver leaves as required

Method:

  1. Roast semolina in pot.
  2. Now put cardamom  in ghee and mix sugar.
  3. Then put semolina, almonds, pistachios and orange food color and mix it nicely.
  4. Also stir it.
  5. When halwa is roasted, put saffron and kewra essence and mix it.
  6. When halwa leaves ghee, take out in dish, garnish with silver paper and serve.

Zafrani Halwa is Pakistani Sweet Dish. It is prepared with Semolina & Saffron and garnished with Almonds & Pistachios. It is served with Puri in Breakfast, in Parties as a Sweet Dish and in Muslim Festivals.
