Chicken Yakhni by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Chicken feet 1 kg
  • Garlic 4-5 cloves
  • Onion 1
  • Turmeric 50 gm
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Chicken pieces 1 cup
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric paste 1 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

For Masala:

  • Cumin 1 tbsp
  • Cloves 2-3
  • Big cardamom seeds as required
  • Cinnamon 2-3

Method:

  1. Crush 1 tbsp turmeric  and put in pan.
  2. Then add chicken feet, garlic, onion and 2 cup onion and cook on low flame for 4-5 hours.
  3. When it is ready and feet are nicely tender, strain it and keep it aside.
  4. Now heat oil in second pan, put butter and chicken pieces and fry it nicely.
  5. Add garlic paste, turmeric paste and salt during frying and roast it nicely.
  6. Now add this mixture in soup and cook until chicken tender.
  7. For masala: Put all ingredients in blender and make powder.
  8. When serve soup, sprinkle masala.
  9. Chicken yakhni is ready.

Chicken Yakhni is simply Stock Or Broth. It is used as Ingredient to cook food. This dish is given to Babies to make strong bones.
