Spiced Poached Pears by Chef Tahir Chaudhry

Ingredients:

  • Water 1 liter
  • Sugar 250 gm
  • Pears 6
  • Cinnamon stick 1
  • Whole cloves 2 tsp
  • Black peppercorns 4
  • Lemon 1
  • Star anise 2-3
  • Fresh ginger 2

Method:

  1. Heat water in big saucepan, add sugar and dissolve it.
  2. Then add pears, cover it and boil for 15 minutes on low flame.
  3. Now add cinnamon, cloves, black peppercorn, lemon, star anise and ginger on low flame, cover it, cook for few minutes and serve cold.

Spiced Poached Pears is incredibly tasty dish. It is served as salad or dessert.
