Kali Masoor Ki Daal

Ingredients:

  • Black masoor daal 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Finely chopped onion 1
  • Dried khatai 4-5

For Bhagar:

  • Finely chopped peeled garlic 5
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Butter 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Wash lentil with lukewarm water and soak it.
  2. Put daal with 3-4 cups lukewarm water in pot and cook it.
  3. Also put ginger garlic paste, onion, turmeric and red chili powder.
  4. When daal tender, mash it and add dried khatai and salt.
  5. Then put 2 cups lukewarm water again and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  6. When serve, heat oil and butter, fry garlic until golden brown, put on daal and serve with plain rice.

Kali Masoor Ki Daal is healthy dish. It is prepared with black masoor daal and given bhagar of garlic cloves. Serve with plain rice. Make this dish at home, tired of eating meat dishes.
