Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken 300 gm
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • BBQ masala 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Salt to taste

For Sauce:

  • Sesame paste 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice 1/4 cup
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp

For Filling:

  • Chili achar 1 cup
  • Cucumber pickle 1/2 cup
  • Pita bread 4
  • Cucumber 1
  • Onion 1
  • Tomato 1
  • Salad leaves 3-4
  • Green & black olives slice 1 cup
  • Olive oil 2-3 tbsp

Method:

  1. For chicken: Cut chicken into finely slices.
  2. Heat oil in pan and fry chicken slices and garlic nicely.
  3. Now put yogurt, vinegar, lemon juice, salt and BBQ masala, fry it slightly and dry it.
  4. Then take it out in plate and cool it.
  5. Chicken is ready.
  6. For sauce: Put sesame paste, lemon juice, yogurt and garlic in bowl, mix it nicely, put in pan and fry it.
  7. Then take it out in bowl.
  8. Sauce is ready.
  9. For salad: Cut tomato and cucumber into thinly slices.
  10. Salad leaves into finely and take it out in big bowl.
  11. Then add tomato and cucumber slices.
  12. Now put olive oil.
  13. Then add chilies achar and cucumber pickle.
  14. For pita filling: Toast pita bread slightly in pan.
  15. Then open pocket, add chicken mixture, olives slices and salad.
  16. Chicken shawarma is ready.

Shawarma is Arabic Dish. It is famous street food in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Pita bread is stuffed with chicken, hummus sauce, tahini sauce and pickles. You can prepared with beef also.
