Dahi Baray is very common snack dish in Pakistan. Make it with your own recipe.

Ingredients:

For Baray:

  • Maash daal 250 gm
  • Garlic cloves 2
  • Onion 1
  • Ginger 1 small piece
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Sweet soda 1 pinch
  • Oil as required

For Dahi:

  • Yogurt 1 kg
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala as required

Direction:

  1. For baray: Wash daal and soak it for 4 hours.
  2. Then blend it finely in blender.
  3. Then blend onion, ginger, garlic and salt in blender.
  4. Then mix in blended daal and add soda.
  5. Now heat oil in wok, make baray of daal and fry it.
  6. When brown, take it out and put in tap salted water.
  7. When soft, take it out and press it with palm to take out its water.
  8. For dahi: Then grind salt, black pepper and white cumin, add in yogurt and beat it nicely.
  9. Then put baray in dahi, sprinkle chaat masala and serve warm of cold.

Dahi Baray is tasty dish. Baray is prepared with maash daal. Then blended and mixed with blended ginger & garlic and soda. Then made baray and fried. Then add in yogurt mixture, sprinkled with chaat masala and served.
