Caramel Snack

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup white corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 12 ounce package crispy corn and rice cereal

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 275F.
  2. Grease the roasting pan with some butter.
  3. In a medium−size bowl, mix butter, white corn syrup and brown sugar.
  4. Place the mixture in the microwave and cook 2 minutes, or until butter melts.
  5. Place the cereal, pecans and almonds into the prepared roasting pan.
  6. Pour the melted butter mixture over the cereal and nuts and mix gently until the cereal and nuts are coated.
  7. Bake for 1 hour.
