Cilantro Rice by Chef Tahir Chaudhry

Ingredients:

  • Rice (soaked) 2 cup
  • Water/Chicken stock 3 cup
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Onion 2 tbsp

Green Paste:

  • Cilantro/Green coriander 1/2 cup
  • Green chilies 3-4
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves 3-4
  • Salt 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Put green coriander, green chilies, cumin seeds, lemon juice, garlic and salt in grinder, grind with 2 cup water and make green paste.
  2. Then heat oil in pan, fry green paste for few minutes, add 3 cup water and boil it.
  3. Now add rice, cover it and simmer it until water dries.
  4. In end, garnish with onion and serve hot.
