Seviyan Kheer by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Broken vermicelli 1-1/2 cups
  • Milk 500 ml
  • Sugar 3 tbsp
  • Ghee 2 tbsp
  • Green cardamoms 4-5
  • Cloves 3-4
  • Fried almonds 7-8
  • Raisins 2 tsp
  • Rose water 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in pan.
  2. Fry cloves and cardamom till release their aroma in ghee.
  3. Now add vermicelli and fry till they become golden brown.
  4. Pour milk and let it come to boil.
  5. Add sugar and mix well.
  6. Lower flame and let milk simmer for 5-7 minutes till vermicelli gets cooked.
  7. Lastly add fried almonds and rose water.
  8. Serve seviyan kheer hot, warm or cold.
