Ingredients:

  • Maida 1/2 kg
  • Yeast 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Put yeast and sugar in lukewarm water and mix until yeast and sugar are nicely mixed.
  2. Then leave it for rise.
  3. When it is yeast, add flour.
  4. Then add salt, egg and baking powder and knead it.
  5. Now put in mixing bowl, wrap with plastic and leave it in warm place for 3-4 hours.
  6. Then fold dough with hands, make small small portions and roll like thick roti.
  7. Now grease oven tray with oil, foment it and bake in preheated oven on 200 degrees C for 10 minutes before setting roti on tray
  8. Take out from oven.
  9. Pita bread is ready.
