Ingredients:

  • Moong daal 100 gm
  • Masoor daal 100 gm
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped tomatoes 4
  • Finely chopped onion 1
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Kasoori methi 1 tsp
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Water 2-1/2 cup
  • Salt to taste

For Bhagar:

  • Whole cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Whole red chilies 4-5

Method:

  1. Soak moong daal and masoor daal and soak it.
  2. Now strain lentils and put in microwave proof mixing bowl.
  3. Then add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, water, salt, oil, turmeric, all spice powder, kasoori methi and onion, mix it nicely and set in daily menu option A-19.
  4. Take it out after few few minutes and mix it nicely.
  5. Now take out out, put in blender and mix it.
  6. Then take out in dish and give bhagar of cumin and red chilies.
  7. Then garnish with coriander leaves and serve.

Surti Daal is Gujarati Cuisine and different recipe. It is prepared with Moong Lentil & Masoor Lentil, bhagar with Cumin & Red Chilies, garnished with Coriander Leaves and served with Naan or Roti.
