Bihari Curry

Ingredients:

  • Beef 1 kg
  • Stock 1 cup
  • Whole coriander seeds 4 tbsp
  • Green chilies 8-10
  • Grated coconut 3 tbsp
  • Desiccated coconut 4 tbsp
  • Tamarind paste 1/2 cup
  • Potatoes 3
  • Onion slice 3
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  • Finely chopped mint leaves 3 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Whole red chilies 3
  • Cloves 5
  • Cinnamon 6
  • Almonds 10
  • Curry leaves 2-3
  • Roasted peanuts 1 tbsp
  • Roasted chickpeas 1 tbsp
  • Sesame 2 tbsp
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste
  • Cumin 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Put green chilies, peanuts, almonds, chickpeas, sesame, onion, grated coconut, coriander seeds, cumin and red chilies on tawa and roast it.
  2. Now put these ingredients in grinder, add stock and make paste.
  3. Then put oil or ghee in pot and crackle cloves and cinnamon.
  4. Now add beef and roast it.
  5. Then add almond mixture and turmeric powder and roast for 3-4 minutes.
  6. When beef tender, add potatoes, tamarind paste, desiccated coconut, curry leaves and salt.
  7. When salan is ready, put coriander leaves and mint leaves and take out in dish.
  8. Bihari curry is ready.
