Bengali Fish Biryani

Ingredients:
- Fish 750 gm
- Crushed green chilies 10
- Crushed ginger inch
- Garlic cloves 10
- Turmeric and Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
- Brown onion 1/2 cup
- Tomatoes slice 2
- Cumin 2 tbsp
- Mustard paste 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves 20
- Salt 2 tsp
- Vinegar 2 tbsp
- Dried apricots 10-12
- Mint leaves 3 tbsp
- Boiled rice 1/2 kg
- Salt 2 tsp
- Milk 1/2 cup
- Kewra 1 tsp
- Yellow color 1 pinch
- Oil 1/2 cup
Method:
- Marinate fish with green chilies, ginger, garlic, turmeric, red chili powder and salt for 30 minutes.
- Now heat oil, put mustard paste, cumin, curry leaves, brown onion and tomatoes and cook it.
- When tender, add fish, fry for 10 minutes, then turn it and fry more for 5 minutes.
- For assemble: Spread boiled rice in pan and put fish masala.
- Now cover with dried apricots, mint leaves and more rice and put milk, kewra, yellow color and 2 tbsp ghee.
- Then put fish pieces on top and simmer it for 10 minutes.
- Then take out in dish and serve.
Bengali Fish Biryani is Bengal dish. It is tasty biryani. Fish is marinated and simmered with rice & milk. Try this biryani and serve with salad.
