Machli Ka Pulao

Ingredients:

  • Surmai fish 1 kg
  • Rice 750 gm
  • Onion 2
  • Green chilies paste 4 tbsp
  • Star anise powder 1 tsp
  • Fennel powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1-1/2 tsp
  • Tomatoes 1/2 kg
  • Green chilies 6
  • Curry leaves 6
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Cumin 2 tsp
  • Finely chopped ginger  1 tbsp
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Water as required

Method:

  1. Put some salt on fish.
  2. How heat some oil and fry onion until brown.
  3. Now add cumin, put fish and fry it.
  4. When fish is red, close stove.
  5. Fry onion until brown in second pot.
  6. Then put ginger garlic, tomatoes, green chilies paste, salt and curry leaves.
  7. Now put rice and water.
  8. When rice simmered, put fennel powder, star anise powder, fried fish and oil.
  9. Then put ginger and green chilies and close stove.

Machli Ka Pulao is delicious rice dish. Surmai fish is used. You can use any fish. Must try this pulao.
