Ingredients:

  • Mutton or Beef boneless 500 gm
  • Mutton or Beef bones 500 gm
  • Garlic paste 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Ginger paste 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Onion paste 3
  • Fennel powder 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Oil 3 tbsp
  • Mix all spice 1 tsp
  • Gram flour 4 tbsp
  • Yogurt 500 gm
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger for garnish
  • Coriander leaves for garnish
  • Green chilies for garnish
  • Brown onion for garnish

Method:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil.
  2. Now add 2 tbsp onion paste, 1 tbsp ginger paste and 1 tbsp garlic paste.
  3. Now add boneless meat and bones.
  4. Then add water.
  5. Now add fennel powder and coriander powder and cook until meat tender.
  6. When mixture is ready, take out bones and keep it aside.
  7. Now heat 1 tbsp oil, saute sieved gram flour and keep it aside for cool.
  8. Now add yogurt, turmeric, red chili powder and remaining onion, garlic and ginger paste and blend it.
  9. Now add little water.
  10. Now put this mixture in pan, put little water and thick shorba.
  11. Now mix both mixture and add salt.
  12. When it comes to boil, add fennel powder.
  13. Then garnish with all spice powder, ginger, coriander leaves, green chilies and brown onion and serve with naan or boiled rice.

Khatta Shorba is amazing dish. It is little bit different recipe. Prepared with beef/mutton bones and meat. Served with rice or naan.
