Maash Ki Daal Recipe

  • Soaked white lentils 1 cup
  • Finely chopped onions 2
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Garlic cloves 4
  • Grinded ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper 4
  • Cinnamon 2
  • Cloves 4
  • Green chilies 3
  • Finely chopped ginger 2 tbsp
  • Finely chopped mint leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Butter 1 tbsp


  1. Heat oil in saucepan, fry onion until golden brown and take it out.
  2. Then peel garlic and fry until golden brown.
  3. Then add white lentils, ginger garlic, turmeric, red chili powder, black pepper and cinnamon and cook it.
  4. Now add salt, green chilies and water and cover it on low flame.
  5. Then garnish with mint leaves, ginger, green chilies and butter and serve hot.

Maash Ki Daal is healthy dish. It is famous and spicy daal in dhaba in Pakistan. White lentils is cooked with spices. Garnished with mint leaves, green chilies & butter and serve with hot naan.
