Shahi Badami Korma Recipe

  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Onions chopped 4
  • Small cardamom 8
  • Almonds chopped 10
  • Ghee 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Black cumin 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic chopped 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste


  1. Mix chicken, yogurt, ginger garlic, red chili powder, coriander powder, salt and all spice powder in bowl.
  2. Heat ghee, fry onion until golden brown, take out half onion and spread on paper.
  3. When crisp, crush with hands and mix in meat.
  4. Put masala meat in pot, cover it and cook on low flame.
  5. When water of meat dries, roast it little and add 2 cups water so that meat tender.
  6. Ghee comes up, add almonds, poppy seeds, black cumin and small cardamom and simmer it for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve with hot roghni naan.

Shahi Badami Korma is delicious dish. It is prepared with chicken, yogurt & almonds. Cooked and serve with roghni naan or plain naan. You can prepare it with mutton or beef.
