Peanut Satay Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Dry roasted peanuts 1-1/2 cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp
  • Brown sugar 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 pinch
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Tamarind pulp 1/4 cup

For Spice Paste:

  • Red chilies dry 6-8
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Onion 1
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp

Direction:

  1. Crush peanuts with mortar and pestle or mini food processor and keep it aside.
  2. Chop spices paste ingredients and blend until fine.
  3. Heat oil, fry spice paste till aromatic and smell spicy.
  4. Add peanuts, tamarind pulp, water, sugar and soya sauce and stir thoroughly.
  5. Simmer on low flame while continuously stirring for 3 minutes til peanut sauce turns smooth.
  6. Serve at room temperature with satay chicken.

Satay Peanut Sauce is spicy sauce. Peanuts is crushed. Then cooked with water & spice paste and serve with satay chicken.
