Chicken Pulao is tasty and delicious rice dish. It is easy and simple recipe to make.

Ingredients:

For Stock:

  • Chicken 1 kg (12 pieces)
  • Onion 1
  • Garlic 6 cloves
  • Ginger 1 inch
  • Fennel seeds 3 tbsp
  • Whole coriander 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Small cardamom
  • Water 8 glass

For Rice:

  • Rice 1 kg
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  • Whole mix spices 1 tbsp
  • Small cardamom 2
  • Onions 2
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Whole green chilies 2
  • Kewra 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 2 cups

Direction:

  1. For stock: Put all ingredients in pot and boil until chicken tender.
  2. Then soak rice in water for 1 hour.
  3. Then cut onions finely.
  4. Then fry in hot oil until brown.
  5. Then take out half onion.
  6. Then put ginger paste, garlic paste and whole mix spices in half onion.
  7. Then take out chicken from stock and put in onion.
  8. Then add salt.
  9. Then take out pulp of onion & garlic of stock and put in chicken.
  10. Then add yogurt and green chilies and roast it slightly.
  11. Then add rice and stock as much as rice tender.
  12. When litter water remains, add kewra and simmer it for 10-15 minutes.
  13. Then take out in dish and serve with raita.

Chicken Pulao is prepared with chicken and rice. Chicken is boiled with spices. Then cooked with rice, green chilies & yogurt and simmered. Serve with raita. You can also make it with mutton, beef, vegetables or seafood.
