Ultimate Potato Samosa is very popular street fried food snack dish in Indian Subcontinent. It is easiest recipe to make at home.


For Samosa Wrap:

  • Maida 1/2 kg
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ghee 4 tbsp
  • Water to knead

For Filling:

  • Potatoes 1 kg
  • Coriander powder 2 tsp
  • Carom seeds 1 tsp
  • White cumin 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chilies 1-1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Coriander leaves chopped as required
  • Mint leaves chopped as required
  • Green chilies chopped as required
  • Oil 1-1/2 cup


  1. For wraps: Mix salt, ghee and white cumin in maida and mix it nicely.
  2. When knead dough with water nicely.
  3. Then keep dough in big bowl, cover it with wet cloth and leave for 15-20 minutes.
  4. For filling: Boil potatoes, peel it and mash it.
  5. Then put potatoes in bowl with coriander powder, carom seeds, white cumin, all spice powder, crushed red chilies, salt, black pepper, onion chopped, chopped green chilies, chopped mint leaves and chopped coriander leaves and mix it nicely.
  6. Now take dough, make small balls of dough and roll it thin.
  7. Then cut from center and form it in triangle shape sealing edges together with water.
  8. Then put potatoes filling in center and seal with water.
  9. Prepare remaining samosay like this.
  10. Then heat oil in wok, put 3-4 samosay and deep fry samosay until golden.
  11. Then take out in tissue paper so that it absorbs oil.
  12. Then keep on plate and serve with sauce, chutney or dip of your choice.

Ultimate Potato Samosa is tasty fried snack dish. Potatoes are boiled, mashed and mixed with vegetables & spices. Then filled in triangle samosa dough & deep fried. Serve with any sauce, chutney or dip of your choice.
