Ingredients for Chocolate Orange Fudge Cake:

  • 125 gm butter
  • 25 gm dark eating chocolate
  • 2/3 cup (100 gm) self raising flour
  • 2/3 cup(150 gm) caster sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp finely grated orange rind
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange essence

Method:

  1. Firstly, preheat oven on 180 degrees C.
  2. Now grease cake pan and line with baking paper.
  3. Cook butter and dark chocolate on low flame in one pan until it becomes smooth, cool for 10 minutes and put in one big bowl.
  4. Then put strained self raising flour, caster sugar, eggs, orange rind, orange juice and orange essence and beat on low speed until all ingredients are mixed.
  5. Now beat more for 2-3 minutes on high speed until color of mixture becomes light.
  6. Now put this mixture in pan and bake for 1 hour.

Ingredients for Gum Paste:

  • 250 gm fondant
  • Tylose powder 1/2 tsp
  • Egg white beaten 1
  • Crisco shortening 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Firstly, add fondant and tylose powder and beat well.
  2. Now put crisco shortening and beaten egg white and mix it.
  3. Now keep in air tight zip log back for overnight until it set nicely.
