Chicken In Saffron Sauce by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Chicken breast 2
  • Onion paste 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Butter 50 gm
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Black peppercorn 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Cardamom 4
  • Red chili 1-1/2 tsp
  • Almonds 6
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Saffron or Saffron essence 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Now divide chicken breast into 2 portions, put 2 cup water and salt and boil it.
  2. When chicken is tendered well, then close stove.
  3. After that, heat butter and put oil.
  4. Then add onion paste.
  5. Now put yogurt, ginger garlic, black peppercorn, cumin seeds, red chili, cardamom, turmeric, lemon juice, salt and saffron or saffron essence and mix it nicely.
  6. Then add in fried onion and roast it.
  7. After that, put 1 cup water.
  8. When sauce becomes thick, add boiled chicken and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
  9. In end, put lemon juice and close stove.
  10. Chicken in saffron sauce is ready.
