Kofta biryani

Ingredients:

  • Mince 1/2 kg
  • onion 2 pcs
  • ginger garlic paste  2 tbsp
  • yogurt 125 gm
  • small cardamom 2 pcs
  • big cardamom 8 pcs
  • clove 8 pcs
  • black pepper 12-15 pcs
  • crushed red chili1 tsp
  • red chili pwd 1 tsp
  • salt to taste 
  • rice 1./2 kg 
  • white cumin 1 tsp
  • bay leaf 2 pcs
  • food colour as required
For Kofta:
  • Mince 1/2 kg
  • gram flour 2 tbsp
  • big cardamom 1 pcs
  • clove 6 pcs
  • black pepper 12 pcs
  • crushed red chili 1 tsp
  • salt to taste 
  • mint 1 tbsp
  • green chili 4 pcs
  • white cumin 1 tsp
  • egg 6 pcs
  • yogurt for raita

Method:

  1. Mix garam masala and powdered white cumin in mince.
  2. Then add salt,crushed red chilies, gram flour,green chili, mint and mix keep for 20 minutes.
  3. Now make small koftas out of the mixure and spread them in a tray.
For making the stalk:
  1. Fry finely chopped onions in hot oil. when its golden brown add in whole mix spices
  2. After two minuted add in garam masala and fry for another 2 minutes.
  3. Then add in ginger garlic paste,salt , yogurt, crushed red chilies, red chili powder and roast a bit 
  4. In the end add in the koftas
  5. when the water of the yogurt has evaporated and you can see the oil come out turn the stove off.
  6. In another pan boil 1-1/2 cup water. Then add in whole mix spice,white cumin and bay leaf cook till it comes to a boil.When it comes to a boil add in the already soaked rice and boil.
  7. Now in a pot put a layer of rice and then in the center put the stalk and another layer of rice.
  8. Mix a bit of red food colour with water and sprinkle on top and keep on dam for 7-10 minutes
  9. Once ready serve.
