Arabic Lentil Soup

Ingredients:

  • Masoor daal 1 cup
  • Onion 1
  • Carrot 1
  • Celery 1
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Chicken cubes or Chicken powder 2 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Water 2 cups
  • Cloves 2-3
  • Bay leaf 1
  • Oil 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper as required
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Parsley 1 tbsp
  • Fresh cream 1 tbsp
  • Lemon wedges 2-3

Method:

  1. Soak daal in bowl and separate water.
  2. Put daal in saucepan and all masalay and vegetables.
  3. Then add water and cook on low flame.
  4. When it is thick, remove from stove, blend it and make mixture.
  5. Now cook it again for 5 minutes, add salt, black pepper and chicken powder, put in soup serving bowl, garnish with cream, parsley and lemon wedges and serve.

Arabic Lentil Soup is delicious soup. Masoor daal is cooked and blended with vegetables. Garnished with cream and lemon wedges. Try this soup.
