Beef Haleem Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Beef 1 kg
  • Whole wheat 250 gm
  • Barley 250 gm
  • Maash daal 75 gm
  • Masoor daal 75 gm
  • Chana daal 75 gm
  • All spice powder 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds powder 2 tbsp
  • Chicken stock 3 cups
  • Onion sliced 1 large
  • Ginger slice 4 tbsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped 1 bunch
  • Chopped green chilies 8
  • Lemons 4
  • Red chili powder 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tbsp
  • Star anise powder 1 tbsp
  • Talhar chili powder 3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 8 tbsp

Direction:

  1. Mix masoor daal, maash daal, chana daal, wheat and barley with 3 liter water.
  2. Then cook until soft.
  3. Then grind in grinder to paste.
  4. Then heat chicken stock.
  5. Then add beef, daal paste and 1/2 liter water.
  6. Then cook until beef is tender and mash well.
  7. Then mix all spice powder, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder,  cumin seeds powder, coriander leaves, talhar chili powder, star anise powder with little water and make smooth paste.
  8. Then stir paste in haleem.
  9. Then fry onion until golden.
  10. Then remove onion and keep it aside.
  11. Then put hot oil of onion on haleem.
  12. Then take out haleem in dish, garnish with ginger, green chilies & fried onion and serve with lemon.

Beef Haleem is very popular dish of Asia. Beef, wheat, barley & lentils are used to prepare this dish. Then garnished with green chilies, ginger & fried onion and served with hot naan. You can also make it with chicken also.
