Prawn Tempura Recipe

Prawn Tempura is very popular side dish in world. It is prepared in various method.


For Prawns:

  • Prawns 1 kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilies crushed 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tbsp

For Tempura:

  • Maida 1 cup
  • Corn flour 1/2 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Cold water as required
  • Oil for fry


  1. For prawns: Marinate prawns with all ingredients and keep in refrigerator for 60-90 minutes.
  2. For tempura: Mix all ingredients in bowl, make thick paste and keep in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Then heat oil in pan.
  4. Then dip prawns in tempura mixture and fry in hot oil.
  5. When golden and crisp, take out in tissue so that it absorbs oil.
  6. Then keep in dish and serve with sauce or dip.

Prawn Tempura is tasty dish. Prawns is marinated with lemon juice and spices. Then dipped in maida mixture and fried. Serve with sauce or dip. You can make it at home easily.
