Chinese Rice And Beef Congee by Chef Zakir

Ingredients for Chinese Rice:

  • Rice 300 gm
  • Capsicum 1
  • Carrot 1
  • Spring onions 2
  • Eggs 2
  • Oil 1/4 cup
  • Garlic 4-5 cloves
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • White pepper 1/2 tsp
  • Worcester shire sauce 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste


  1. Boil rice and keep aside.
  2. Beat eggs in a bowl.
  3. In a pan, add coil and saute sliced cloves of garlic until golden brown.
  4. Then add beaten eggs, capsicum, spring onions and carrot.
  5. Stir together for a couple of minutes.
  6. When vegetables are tender, add rice, black pepper powder, white pepper powder, salt and worcester shire sauce and cook on high flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Tempting chinese rice is ready to serve.

Ingredients for Beef Congee:

  • Beef undercut 1/2 kg
  • White soda 1 bottle
  • Onion 1
  • Garlic 4 cloves
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tbsp
  • Chilli garlic sauce 2 tbsp
  • Worcester shire sauce 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste


  1. Cut beef undercut into slices and fry in hot oil.
  2. In a separate pan, heat oil, add onion, sliced cloves of garlic and crushed black pepper and saute.
  3. Then add fried beef and stir together.
  4. Now add white soda, chilli garlic sauce. worcester shire sauce and salt.
  5. Put on high flame and allow cooking for 5 minutes.
  6. Add corn flour and mix.
  7. Beef Congee is ready to serve.
