Baked Yogurt Chicken by Zarnak Sidhwa

Ingredients:

  • Boneless chicken 1/2 kg
  • Butter 6 tbsp
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Paprika 1 tbsp
  • Yogurt 2 cups
  • Sliced mushrooms a few
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Chopped parsley 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Method:

  1. To chicken add salt and pepper.
  2. In large pan, melt 4 tbsp butter, fry the chicken until golden brown.
  3. Remove to buttered shallow baking dish.
  4. Sprinkle flour and paprika into pan juice and cook, stirring for 1 minutes.
  5. Stir in yogurt and mix well.
  6. Spoon over the chicken.
  7. Saute the mushrooms in the remaining butter and lemon juice for 1 minute and spoon over the chicken and yogurt.
  8. Sprinkle with the parsley.
  9. Bake, covered, in a preheated 180 degrees C for about 30 min to an hour or until chicken is tender.
