Orange Chicken by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Chicken with bone 500 gm
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Onion 1
  • Orange juice 1/2 cup
  • Stock 1 cup
  • Orange 1
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce 1 tbsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Brown sugar 1 tbsp
  • Oil 2-3 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Cut orange into slices and take out seeds.
  2. Put 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste, black pepper, soya sauce, oyster sauce, corn flour, vinegar, orange juice, brown sugar and salt in mixing bowl and marinate chicken.
  3. Now cook chicken from both sides in pan.
  4. Chicken is cooked, remove it and keep it aside.
  5. Add oil and 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste in pa, also add onion and fry it.
  6. Then put remaining sauce, also put stock, cook until sauce is thick and close stove.
  7. Spread orange slices on serving platter.
  8. Put chicken slices on top, garnish with sauce and serve.
