Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1/2 kg
  • Finely chopped ginger garlic 2 tbsp
  • Star anise 2
  • White pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  • Crushed black pepper 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar 4 tbsp
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Honey 1 tbsp
  • Corn flour 1 tbsp
  • Chinese salt 1/3 tsp
  • Oil 1-2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Boil chicken with ginger garlic, water and star anise.
  2. Now add white pepper, black pepper, soya sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, honey, Chinese salt and salt in mixing bowl and add in chicken.
  3. When chicken tender, add corn flour in water, mix it and cook until sauce is thick.
  4. Then take out in dish and serve.
