Spaghetti Bolognese

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil 3 tbsp
  • Mutton mince 1/2 kg
  • Onion chopped 1 large
  • Celery stalks sliced 2
  • Flour 1 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves 2
  • Tomato puree 4 tbsp
  • Tomatoes chopped 4
  • Chicken or beef stock cube as required
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Spaghetti 500 gm
  • Parmesan cheese grated as required

Method:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil, add onion, saute, add mince and keep frying till color changes.
  2. Add celery, flour, garlic, tomato puree, let cook.
  3. Dissolve stock cube in cup of water and add to mince.
  4. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper and let cook till mince is done.
  5. Boil spaghetti in salty water and add 1 tbsp olive oil.
  6. Drain when done.
  7. Drizzle some extra olive oil so spaghetti does not stick.
  8. Divide spaghetti amongst individual bowls or larger platter and ladle mince sauce over and serve immediately sprinkled with parmesan cheese.
