Chicken Shawarma Rice

Ingredients:

For Shawarma:

  • Boneless chicken 300 gm
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Tandoori masala 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp

Other Ingredients:

  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Garlic 1 tsp
  • Tomato slice 1
  • Mayonnaise 1 tbsp
  • Onion slice 1
  • Cabbage 1/2 cup
  • Pickle cucumber slices 6
  • French fries as required
  • Salad leaves as required

For Rice:

  • Rice 250 gm
  • Chicken stock 2 cups
  • Onion 1
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Butter 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon 1
  • Cloves 2
  • Chopped green chili 1
  • Chopped green onion 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp

Method:

  1. For shawarma: Mix oil, ginger garlic, cumin, red chili powder, tandoori masala, salt and lemon juice in bowl.
  2. Marinate chicken with this mixture for 2 hours.
  3. Now skew chicken on skewer, grill in 1/4 cup hot oil, then take out from skewers and cut into small small pieces.
  4. Soak rice for 30 minutes.
  5. Now heat oil and butter and fry onion for 5 minutes.
  6. Then put ginger garlic paste and cook for 30 seconds.
  7. Now add black pepper, green chili, salt and turmeric and cook for 1 minute.
  8. Put chicken stock and boil it.
  9. Now put rice, cover it and cook it.
  10. Take out rice in dish, keep chicken shawarma, onion slice, tomato slice, pickle cucumber, cabbage, salad leaves and french fries and serve.

Chicken Shawarma Rice is tasty & wonderful dish. Chicken is marinated with tandoori masala. It is served in shawarma style with rice, vegetables and french fries.
