Chocolate Cake

Ingredients:

For Cake:

  • Maida 2 cups
  • Caster sugar 2 cups
  • Cocoa powder 3/4 cup
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Baking soda 1-1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Coffee powder 1 tsp
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • Eggs 2
  • Vanilla essence 2 tsp
  • Boiled water 1 cup

For Frosting:

  • Butter 1-1/2 cup
  • Unsweetened cocoa 1 cup
  • Sugar 5 cup
  • Milk 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract 2 tsp
  • Espresso powder 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Beat maida, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and coffee powder.
  2. Now add milk, oil and vanilla essence and beat on medium speed.
  3. Then mix boiled water on low speed.
  4. Beat for 1 minute on high speed.
  5. Now put batter in 2 lined cake pan and bake on 180 degrees C for 30-35 minutes.
  6. Then cool cake for 10 minutes and frost with chocolate butter cream.
  7. For frosting: Beat butter and cocoa.
  8. Now add milk and sugar one by one.
  9. Then mix vanilla extract and espresso powder nicely.
