Ingredients:

  • Pasanday 1/2 kg
  • Chana daal 1/2 kg
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Whole red chilies 12
  • Coriander 1 tsp
  • Big cardamom 2
  • Water 2 cups
  • Kabab chini 4
  • Yogurt 1/2 cup
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • Oil for fry
  • Eggs as required
  • Maida as required

For Filling:

  • Finely chopped onion 1
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped mint leaves 2 tbsp
  • Chopped green chilies 2-3

Method:

  1. Wash pasanday and cook with ginger garlic, salt, chana daal, yogurt, kabab chini and big cardamom with 2 cups water in pressure cooker until pasanday tender.
  2. Now chop with lemon juice in chopper.
  3. For filling: Mix all ingredients, make kabab of pasanday and fill with onion mixture.
  4. Coat kabab with maida, dip in eggs, fry it and serve.

Shikampur is Hyderabadi kabab dish. Kabab is prepared with pasanday & chana daal and filled with onion. Fries and serve with rice.
