Lamb & Beans Stew And Fruit Cake by Chef Gulzar

Ingredients for Fruit Cake:

  • Flour 200 gm
  • Eggs 4
  • Sugar 200 gm
  • Ashrafi 1 cup
  • Walnuts 1/2 cup
  • Baking powder 2 tsp
  • Butter 200 gm
  • Vanilla essence  few drops

Method:

  1. In one mixing bowl, put eggs and sugar, beat it with the help of batter.
  2. Then add butter and beat it.
  3. Now add flour, baking powder and  vanilla essence and fold it with the help of hand.
  4. Then adding asharfiyan, mix it and in end, add walnuts and mix it.
  5. Now grease oven proof bread mold, put the cake mixture and set it.
  6. Then bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes on 200 C.
  7. In end, take it out, cool it and serve.

Ingredients for Lamb & Beans Stew:

  • Mutton 1/2 kg
  • Boil red beans 300gm
  • Tomato chopped 2
  • Potato 1
  • Carrot chopped 1
  • Brown onion 1/2 cup
  • Whole red chilli 6 to 8
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  • All spice powder 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Cinnamon 2 sticks
  • Cloves 6
  • Cardamom 6
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. In one big pan, add put, mutton, cinnamon, cloves, red chilies and oil and cook until tender.
  2. When mutton tender, put black pepper, all spice powder, salt and red chili powder and roast it for 1 to 2 minute.
  3. Then put brown onion, chopped tomato, chopped carrot, boiled red beans and water and cook it.
  4. When gravy becomes thick, then take out dish and serve.
